Pat Byrne is no stranger to the music industry, having previously won the inaugural Voice of Ireland competition in 2012. In the years since, he has moved out of the mainstream to focus on his own bluesy and rootsy sound, drawing inspiration from Paul Simon and comparisons to Joe Cocker. He has previously collaborated with Alan Downey of Aslan fame, and Dublin-born producer, EMBRZ. Pat is currently based in Austin, Texas, where he is recording his second studio album. He continues to tour the US, recently gracing the historic Anderson Fair with Stephen Carolan and some of Texas’ finest musicians. A long-time friend of the Carolans, the lads met up to record a cover of Crosby, Stills and Nash’s ‘Helplessly Hoping,’ which was met with much praise on social media. A unique night of American-influenced, but traditionally Irish singing awaits.
